Creative Industry

The creative industry is the initiator of a sustainable and innovative economy.  Creative professionals are trying out new working methods and are questioning many classical forms of production and division of labour, with high flexibility, initiative and also by taking risks. Are these also valid for other economic sectors and are they opening up a social perspective? Which forms of work organization, wages, social security and interest groups will determine our future? In order to raise awareness for a synergy and the collective benefits from economy and art and not to play one off against the other - as happening in the past in Germany - symposiums and seminars on the topic of  creative industry are going to bring more transparency, clarity and lead to exemplary projects.

During the next four years NORDWIND will collaborate more strongly with the creative industry and search the dialogue with designers, fashion designers, film makers and the internet industry. At the moment, the internet industry like no other branch is thematically facing the biggest challenges and dangers. Another focus is set on food Following the Berlinale, Nordic cuisine is going to be presented in unusual formats at different, exciting locations in Berlin and Hamburg during the NORDWIND Festival. In showings (like creative cooking), presentations (like fashion-VJ´s) and crossover-events (amongst others internet art) the Nordic creative industry is going to be introduced in a playful way.

In Cooperation with Kreativgesellschaft Hamburg, Region Skåne and CKO (Center for Kultur- og Oplevelsesøkonomi).
