Carolin Jüngst / Lisa Rykena

Carolin Jüngst & Lisa Rykena have been working in a collective and as freelance performers and choreographers in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin since 2016. In their work, the duo Rykena / Jüngst deals with queer-feminist body discourses and the transformation of normative ascriptions on the body. In their pieces, they resort to classical, mythological or even pop-cultural material in order to create new figures, hybrid forms and grotesque embodiments. Their last joint work ARIE / ELLE was created in 2018 as part of the “Limited Edition” residency at K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg, Kampnagel. Lisa Rykena has already worked with artists like William Forsythe or Zufit Simon and is a member of the Christoph Winkler company in Berlin. Carolin Jüngst was part of a research project with the choreographer Richard Siegal and the Göteborgs Danskompani / Oper Göteborg and is currently a scholarship holder of the Claussen Simon Foundation. She has performed in works by Marina Abramovic, Allora & Calzadilla, or local artists like Teresa Hoffmann.
