Janssønn born1986 is a drummer from Tromsø International Film Festival. The Tromsø International Film Festival is one of the biggest film festivals in Norway. Janssønn completed his Master’s Degree as a jazz performer at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2015, and is currently studying composition. Jakob is a versatile drummer, playing with a number of bands and artists on the Norwegian jazz scene: Avantgong, Papirfly, Hallgeir Pedersen Trio, Elin Rosseland Quintet, Marja Mortensson, Nordic Namgar and Elle Marja Eira, among others. He has also performed with renowned artists as Tomasz Stanko, Knut Reiersrud and Arkady Shikloper. Janssønn has produced music for films and composed and performed commissioned music for festivals.
