Gunilla Lind Danse Teater

Gunilla Lind (choreographer and artistic director)
Choreographer and artistic director of Gunilla Lind Dance Theatre, Gunilla Lind is educated at Hesselholm Gymnasium and at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance Scool. She received a Reumert Talent Award for her debut performance VANITY OF MODERN PANIC – V.O.M.P. which is now touring in Denmark and abroad.Gunilla Lind puts a mirror up to society and through quirky characters, odd movements and surprising effects she turns every day tendencies upside down. Through unusual costumes Gunilla Lind de-humanizes the performers in order to challenge the way we perceive other human beings and the way we look at ourselves.

Emma Christophersen (dancer)
Emma has a background in modern dance as well as urban dance. She trained at Stepz Dance Education and Flow Dance Academy in Copenhagen s well as at Dance Works in Berlin. She works mainly with Gunilla Lind Dance Theatre as a dancer and performer and she has also taken part in various battles, commercials and video projects. Besides her background in dance she holds a BA from the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture and Design.

Esther Ransdal Haugegaard (dancer)
Esther is a modern dancer. She graduated from Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in 2013. Since then she has worked freelance as a
dancer, choreographer, dance teacher and project developer. When not working with Gunilla Lind Dance Theater Esther tours with her own performance and she choreographs various shows. In addition, she does educational projects with children and young people where dance and creativity are the focal points.

Josefine Elna Ibsen (dancer)
Josefine trained at the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich. She is based in Copenhagen where she works as a freelance dancer and performer. Josefine has worked with Gunilla Lind Dance Theater since 2015. Besides her background in dance she holds a BA in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of Copenhagen, with a focus on dance, gender and feminism.

Katrina Neergaard Holm (dancer)
Katrina is a Copenhagen based modern dancer. She trained at Heleneholmsskolen in Malmö, continued at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School, after which she studied contemporary dance at ArtEZ Art Academy in 2013/14. Since then she works as a freelance dancer, including in Gunilla Lind Dance Theatre. Besides from that she teaches dance, pilates and other sorts of physical training.

Anna-Olivia Christesen (dancer)
Anna-Olivia is a modern dancer, who has danced for varies companies and choreographers around Europe. She now lives in Copenhagen where she mainly works for Gunilla Lind Dance Theatre and at Copenhagen Pilates Studio. Besides the regular clients, she teaches in the Danish Wounded Worriers Project which helps wounded war veterans and civilians with multi-trauma to a better life though training.

Shuli Nordbek Azoulay (dancer)
Shuli is a freelance modern dancer and performer based in Copenhagen. She trained at Ecole Professionnelle de Danse de Kim Kan in Paris and at VARIUM in Barcelona. In 2012 she joined Kibbutz Contempory Dance Company’s 5 month MASA-programme in Israel. Since then she has worked mainly with choreographer Gunilla Lind but also performed with various other Danish companies for adults as well as children and youth. She holds a MA in Modern Culture Studies and Dance Science from The University of Copenhagen.
