Julia Peresild, born in Pskov, has been on stage since childhood and took part in the national competition of young talents “The Morning Star” in Moscow. After school she studied philology at the Pedagogical Institute in Pskow, but after two semesters she switched to the Russian Academy of Theater Arts in Moscow, where she graduated as an actress in 2006. Since 2004 she has worked regularly at the Theater of Nations, at the “School of Modern Play” and with the theater company Yevgeny Mironov at the Theater an der Malaya Bronnaya.
She starred in numerous films, including “The Bride” (2006) by Elyor Ishmukhamedov, “The Edge” (2010) and “Gefangen” (2008) by Alexei Uchitel and “Sonnentau” (2012). In 2013 she received the State Prize for Young Artists and the Prize for “Best Actress” at the BRICS Film Festival (2015). She is a dedicated member of the Galchonok Foundation.
