Ellen Söderhult lives in Sweden and works with dance, music and choreography. She has a background in athletics and studied dance and circus at DOCH/SKH. In 2020 she premiered the piece DUNKA DUNKA at DansPlats Skog in Hälsingland, a collaboration with Daniel IInatti in which the audience is surrounded by sounds of mud, scents, sub bass and wrestling choir singers. In the sporty punk ballet HOW TO DO THINGS WITH ROMANCE: a prologue (2016) and in SHANE ET AL. (2018) she explored the collective as a protagonist. In 2015 she co-founded the open-source format for exchange of practices in the performing arts called Nobody’s Business together with Eleanor Bauer and Alice Chauchat. Ellen has also worked with and for amongst others Sandra Medina and Anna Efraimsson, Iki Gonzalez Magnusson, Sindri Runudde, Tove Sahlin and Rasmus Ölme.

THE FISHING DANCE & OTHER COSMIC CONFESSIONS is a conceptual album and workout program consisting of seven different dances with specific purposes. Powered by “radical pedagogy”, Sindri Runudde works from the premise that everybody has knowledge and experience, and every story owns a dance. With five dancers on stage, the seven songs intertwine with music and personal stories. Sindri Runudde is a dancer and choreographer who works from a queer feminist perspective and from lived experience. Their approach and artistry is unique through the ability to connect deep existential themes to pop-culture and accessible concepts in a very successful way.
