Born in Brandenburg near Berlin in 1979, Sylvie Kürsten studied cultural siences in Lüneburg. She has been working as a documentary film script writer for public broadcasting since 2011, primarily focusing on art and society. For the film “Venus on the wrong track” in the 3sat series “Art and Crimes”, she and her team received the Grimme Prize of the Marler Group in 2016. Since the end of her NDR traineeship in 2008, the freelance culture journalist has been working for TV magazines such as ARD -ttt, ZDF aspekte, 3sat Kulturzeit and NDR Kulturjournal. She also moderates a wide variety of live events, creates podcasts and audio walks, and designs her own projects such as the jazz excursion “The Kennedy Story” 2011.
