A new activist movement is looking for new members: The New Nordic Poling Collective (NNP) uses pole dancing as a tool for change, addressing the urgent issues of our time under the motto “poles 4 change.”
To recruit new members, the group meticulously prepares a public assembly. But after only a few minutes, tensions begin to rise and the carefully constructed community threatens to fall apart.
With lots of humor, director Lena Bruun Bondeson creates a parable about the challenges of activist work: the search for shared values, the need for resistance, and the hope for collective transformation in turbulent times.
NNP is a new performance collective featuring eight performers from Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
