»Full of fierce, rousing joy, free of scripted cues […] Poetic, razor-sharp and disarmingly witty […] Riot Days convinced me that gigs still have the power to move the masses.« – The Guardian
RIOT DAYS is a story of resistance, repression and revolution. A unique mix of concert, theatre, rally and political happening.
Based on Maria (Masha) Alyokhina’s acclaimed book of the same name, RIOT DAYS tells the story of Pussy Riot – from the group’s iconic protest actions and court trials to imprisonment and resistance. Documentary footage, punk, electronic music and spoken word come together in an intense live experience.
The performative concert explores the power of protest and what it means to stand up against oppression. With more than 400 performances worldwide, RIOT DAYS has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Herald Angel Award, the Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Festival, and the Woody Guthrie Prize.
Each evening begins with a solo set by New Age Doom featuring Eric Breitenbach.
