Author and playwright Waseem Alsharqi, Palestinian writer Abdalrahman Alqalaq, journalist Dima Al-Bitar Kalaji, and Swedish writer Jonas Hassen Khemiri will discuss these themes through readings and conversations.
Speakers:
Waseem Alsharqi – Syrian writer, playwright, and director with experience in theater across the Middle East and Europe.
Abdalrahman Alqalaq – Palestinian poet and performer, with his debut poetry collection published in 2022 and his first book in German in 2024.
Jonas Hassen Khemiri – Swedish author and playwright, renowned for works that explore themes of identity and belonging.
Dima Al-Bitar Kalaji – Journalist based in Berlin, focusing on cultural exchange and political education.
Moderator: Moderation will be done by Burcu Dogramaci teaches art history at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. She researches exile, migration and transfer, photography and architecture, fashion, media and modernity.
