Fake News, Disinformation and the Threat to Democracy
How do fake news emerge? How do disinformation and manipulated narratives spread? And what impact do they have on democratic societies?
In this panel, representatives from different institutions discuss current challenges for democracy, the role of digital media and strategies for addressing targeted disinformation. Together, they explore how social resilience can be built, what forms of resistance are possible, and how democratic processes can be strengthened in times of increasing polarisation.
