BENJAMIN ABEL MEIRHAEGHE

BENJAMIN ABEL MEIRHAEGHE Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe is a Belgian performer, singer and director. He was born in 1995 and was raised in Eine. From a young age he was fascinated by the universes of puppet-theater and visual art. In 2018 he graduated from the Academy for Performance Art in Maastricht where he focussed on music and the big gesture. In 2022 he became part of the artistic leading at Toneelhuis, the Antwerp City Theater, where he also creates his work. Meirhaeghe is known for his extravagant, bombastic, alienating style, which he contrasts with sobriety, intimacy and intuition. He plays this shadow game both as a person as in his own work Rykena/Jüngst Emma Elliane Oskal Valkeapää SARA MARIELLE GAUP HANIN GEORGIS NEKO3 STUDIO NOCLIP THERESE RAMSTEDT ZANDILE DARKO SANDRA KOLSTAD DIMA AL-BITAR KALAJ JONAS HASSEN KHEMIRI ABDALRAHMAN ALQALAQ WASEEM ALSHARQI JOANNA HOLEWA CHRONA AFIA KAJAN LUC YOLANDA GUTIÉRREZ HARALD BEHARIE FELIZITAS STILLEKE CANDICE BREITZ MARTIN NAUNDORF EVA KIENHOLZ SONYA LINDFORS ALEXANDRA ANTWI-BOASIAKO PROF. ELLE SOFE SARA

ELLE SOFE SARA Elle Sofe Sara, choreographer and director, grew up and lives in Guovdageaidnu, Sápmi / Finnmark. Her work deals with often overlooked aspects of Sámi physicality, with unspoken rituals that have escaped the grip of colonialism. In doing so, she discovers a space in which past and present meet. Although her choreographies are known for their playful approach, she also deals with taboo subjects such as trauma, abuse and suicide. As an indigenous artist, Sara strives to create work that speaks strongly to both her community and the art world.  Emma Elliane Oskal Valkeapää SARA MARIELLE GAUP HANIN GEORGIS NEKO3 STUDIO NOCLIP THERESE RAMSTEDT ZANDILE DARKO SANDRA KOLSTAD DIMA AL-BITAR KALAJ JONAS HASSEN KHEMIRI ABDALRAHMAN ALQALAQ WASEEM ALSHARQI JOANNA HOLEWA CHRONA AFIA KAJAN LUC YOLANDA GUTIÉRREZ HARALD BEHARIE FELIZITAS STILLEKE CANDICE BREITZ MARTIN NAUNDORF EVA KIENHOLZ SONYA LINDFORS ALEXANDRA ANTWI-BOASIAKO PROF.
