Marina Davydova Marina Davydova is a theatre critic, historian, playwright, and producer. She studied theatre criticism at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS/RATI) She also worked as a researcher, lecturer, and author focusing on Russian and Western European theatre history. She is the author of the monographs The End of Theatre Epoch and Culture ZERO, as well as editor of The History of West European Theatre since Renaissance Time until the End of the XIX Century. Davydova has worked as theatre critic for Izvestia, editor-in-chief of the magazine TEATR, artistic director of the Moscow NET Festival, and programme director of the Vienna Festival 2016. Safia Nolin Safia Nolin is a French-Canadian folk-pop singer-songwriter from Quebec. Her music combines personal vulnerability with a strong political perspective, exploring identity, exclusion, and social norms. As a queer artist, she challenges established ideas of beauty and gender and transforms her own experiences of otherness into a powerful artistic language. Through projects such as Seum, UFO Religion, Surveillée et Punie (Watched and Punished), and Reprises Vol. 3, Safia Nolin continues to develop a raw and intimate body of work that moves between melancholy, resistance, and emotional honesty. Her music explores alienation, social control, and vulnerability, turning personal experiences into universal reflections on belonging, pain, and self-determination. In 2012, he founded the company l’Homme allumette, dedicated to creating new forms of theatre that explore transgression, social norms, and the complexities of human existence. Juha Valkeapää Juha Valkeapää (born 1967) is a Finnish vocal artist and performance maker. He has shown his art around the world, from São Paulo to Seoul and from Kirkenes to Cairo. The latest works include Firehead (2022), a street performance, Animal beings (2023), a performance that pretends to be a guided tour, and Tree Concert (2025), a collaborative sound performance that imagines forest. Recently, Valkeapää has been working with a live art group Oblivia. Sounding Situations Sounding Situations develops innovative music theatre, where performers, musicians, sound, and audiences encounter each other in both physical and imaginary spaces. The collective’s projects create multilayered artistic environments in which political art, current social questions, reality, and utopia merge. The collective frequently works internationally across countries, continents, and cultural boundaries, developing trans-traditional experiments that open up new perspectives and explore the diversity of shared human experiences. In 2012, she was sentenced to two years in a penal colony for the performance “Punk Prayer” in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. During her imprisonment, she successfully challenged the prison administration over the treatment of inmates. She documented those experiences in her book Riot Days, followed by Political Girl. She also curated Velvet Terrorism, the first comprehensive survey of Pussy Riot’s work, which has travelled internationally from Reykjavik to museums across Europe and North America. He brought Maria Alyokhina the idea for the performance, found the director and publishers for her books, and helped develop Riot Days. He personally opens every performance. Alina Petrova (Rov) Alina Petrova is the musician behind the violin opening of Riot Days. She is the founder of the Kymatic ensemble and works across violin, viola, modular synthesizers, and live programming. She completed an MSc in Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. In 2025, a Moscow court sentenced her to eight years in absentia. SIGNA SIGNA is a Copenhagen-based artistic collective founded by Signa and Arthur Köstler. Since 2001, the collective has developed immersive performance installations, evolving from the works of Signa Sørensen (now Köstler). SIGNA creates site-specific performances in non-traditional art spaces, working with international ensembles to develop fully immersive endurance installations. Combining performance, installation, improvisation, and highly curated visual environments, their works explore structures of power and degradation, identity, desire, fate, and social relations. Larry Macaulay Larry Macaulay is the award winning founder/editor in chief, at Refugee Radio Network in Hamburg and Vice President of the Board, of Community Media Forum Europe (CMFE) in Brussel where he actively contributes to shaping policies that promote inclusivity, integration, and representation within the media landscape. He established the Conference on Migration & Media Awareness (CMMA) in Hamburg, a pivotal initiative aimed at giving refugees and migrants a stronger and more influential voice across Europe. He co-founded the impactful Migrantpolitan project at Kampnagel, leveraging practical examples to bridge the gap between communities and media. He has also conducted an array of workshops and awareness programs, both in Europe and globally, shedding light on the intersection of migrants and media and championing a more inclusive future.
