Marina Davydova

Marina Davydova is a theatre critic, historian, playwright, and producer. She studied theatre criticism at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS/RATI) She also worked as a researcher, lecturer, and author focusing on Russian and Western European theatre history.

She is the author of the monographs The End of Theatre Epoch and Culture ZERO, as well as editor of The History of West European Theatre since Renaissance Time until the End of the XIX Century. Davydova has worked as theatre critic for Izvestia, editor-in-chief of the magazine TEATR, artistic director of the Moscow NET Festival, and programme director of the Vienna Festival 2016.
