Marcus Schenkenberg is a Swedish model, actor, and entrepreneur, widely recognized as one of the most influential male models of the 1990s. After studying economics in Sweden, he began his international modelling career after being discovered in Los Angeles.
His breakthrough came in 1991 with a landmark Calvin Klein campaign and a widely discussed Vanity Fair feature photographed by Bruce Weber. He worked with renowned photographers including Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber, and Steven Meisel, and became the face of major international brands such as Calvin Klein, Valentino, Versace, Donna Karan, and Armani.
As the first male model to appear on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Schenkenberg played a significant role in redefining the representation of male beauty and became one of the defining figures of the fashion industry in the 1990s.
