
Duduzile Mathonsi is a writer, performance artist, voice artist, and public speaker. She has extensive experience in South African television, film and radio production, as a producer, director, screenwriter, presenter, and actress. Duduzile is also a certified journalist who has worked for some of South Africa’s biggest media houses. Mathonsi has a 3 year National Diploma in Language practice from the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and graduated as the first black woman at the Norwegian Theatre Academy with a B.A. in Acting. As a Linguist and performer, the core of her work is storytelling. She explores different mediums and ways of telling stories through movement/dance, voice/sound, and activism. Duduzile is part of the artistic board for the NORDWIND Festival 2021 and with her performance Bitch Where The Fuck Is My Manifesto?!

The artistic structure of the evening is based on the principle of the “houses” of the voguing ballroom scene with its origins in New York in the 1960s, which offer their members a family network outside their biological family of origin, to which they often have no or a poor relationship due to their queerness.
